Known as the Sprint Queen of the Pacific, Toea Wisil has made her mark as Oceania premier female sprinter. Born in PNG in 1988, Toea began running with a local band from her village and its wasn't long before her natural speed captured the attention of the Papua New Guinea Talent ID sport program. From that point Toea was winning regional and national championships with her major breakthrough being a PNG selection for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

In recent times Toea has joined forces with renown sprint coach's Tony and Alison Fairweather which has seen her secure a personal best of 11.29 in the 100m and a 23.13 in the 200m. Toea's change of coach was further validated by winning both the 100m & 200m Australian titles.
