Philip Stoneman - Founder & Director
Phil Stoneman is recognised as one of Australia's leading commercial sports and event specialists. Following 10 years as a senior director with global sports marketing firm International Marketing Group (IMG), in 2009 Phil founded M5 Management. He has a vast amount of experience working with rights and events holders, media and Australia's largest companies. During his time at IMG he generated $45 million in sponsorship revenue and was responsible for the negotiation of multi-million-dollar partnerships including the MasterCard Masters, Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Ironman Series, MasterCard Hong Kong Fashion Week and the Lexmark Indy 300. Phil is renowned for his personal integrity, wide network, and exceptional levels of client service.
In his 'spare' time Phil is devoted to his family and regularly competes in Ironman competitions.
Maddy Stoneman - Director of Operations
As a former elite AIS gymnast and exercise physiologist, Maddy is responsible for all administrative operations for M5 Management and its talent roster. Maddy brings a deep understanding of the physiological and psychological aspects related to elite and professional athletes and M5 clients benefit greatly from this. Maddy has completed her Bachelor in Exercise and Movement Science, & Bachelor of Business majoring in Sports Management.
Christine Coates - Director of Marketing and Athlete Education
Christine is a highly experienced marketing executive, with over 20 years' experience covering strategy, brand, campaign management, sponsorship, PR and media, research, evaluation and event management. She has a detailed knowledge of the Australian sport and entertainment industry through working with a broad range of sponsors, sporting federations and major sporting properties.
Highly motivated and focused on best-practice, her work ethic was honed as an aspiring still water rower and volunteer lifesaver. She brings wide experience to her consulting expertise including work with creative and media agencies, Federal and NSW Government, global sports marketing corporate IMG and small business. Christine is a member of the Australian Marketing Institute. As a mother of three and a busy sporting parent, Christine is passionate about health and fitness, particularly the role it plays in the wellbeing of young Australians.
Martin Dillon - Director of Consulting
Martin's senior experience is a unique blend across sports commercialisation, medical technology, and advertising. In his time with IMG he identified and unlocked the value of commercial assets in rugby, tennis, golf, surf lifesaving, ironman, athletics, motor sport and the arts. In various CEO and General Manager roles in public and private companies, Martin has been responsible for strategy, structure, operations and sales. Another dimension to his corporate experience is his knowledge of the special business needs of sporting and volunteer organisations. Outside of his working life Martin is Life Member of North Cronulla SLSC, devoted husband and father and a keen surfer.
