Phil's early media experience includes working in the publishing and electronic media industries, including seven years with News Ltd in several executive roles. Other roles include Publishing Director of Text Media and Sales & Marketing Director of FPC Magazine Group. In 1999 Phil joined global sports agency IMG as Account Director of New South Wales Rugby Union (NSWRU), and was promoted to the position of National Sales and Marketing Director. Some of his achievements included securing the naming rights sponsorships for the MasterCard Masters, Lexmark Indy 300, Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Ironman Series, MasterCard Hong Kong Fashion Week and the Snap Printing Australian Ironman. Phil has created trusted partnership relationships with many of Australia's leading sponsorship brands, sporting bodies and athletes.
Phil's role with IMG also incorporated New Business Development and Acquisition. Within this brief Phil successfully secured the commercial representative rights for the SLSA Surf Sports product. His role was pivotal in the successful relaunch of both the NIB Coolangatta Gold and the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Ironman Series. In 2009 Phil founded M5 Management.
Maddy holds a Bachelor in Exercise and Movement Science and is currently undertaking further studies in a Bachelor of Business majoring in Sports Management. Maddy has a strong feel for talent identification and has coached Talent ID Gymnasts. As a former elite gymnast, Maddy understands the physiological and psychological aspects related to elite and professional athletes.
As a freelance sponsorship services consultant Christine has a detailed knowledge of the Australian sporting industry through working with an extensive range of sponsors, sporting federations and major sporting properties.
In her previous role as National Marketing Services Manager for global sport and entertainment group IMG, and currently as a consultant, she has developed and researched hundreds of proposals across a diverse range of properties ranging from Musicals, V8 Supercars, Stadia Naming Rights, Soccer, Surf Lifesaving, Basketball, Netball, Rugby Union, Tennis, Golf, Ironman Triathlon and Lifestyle events.
