David Mainwaring

Professional Long Course Triathlete 

David Mainwaring is a 24 year old professional long course triathlete who has been competing at National and International level in distance running and triathlons since 2006. In his junior years, David was a member of the New South Wales Institute of Sport in both their athletics and triathlon programs before focusing on triathlons specifically from 2008.


Initially David raced within the ITU cIrcuit covering Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon races throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and South America. At the beginning on 2013, David made the switch to long distance triathlons. His decision to switch distances was made to exploit his long distance running ability and is currently one of the fastest runners for his distance within Australia.
